Frequently Asked Questions

What is FbZip2Blue?

A web platform to import Meta (Facebook, Instagram, Threads) and X (Twitter) archive ZIP files, then prepare content for Bluesky.

Do I need to install software?

No. Everything runs in your browser.

Can I upload large files?

Yes. Multi-GB files are uploaded in chunks.

Can I save and resume?

Yes. Sessions can be reopened later.

How do I start?

Go to /webv/ and create an upload session.

Are my saved sessions safe after a platform update?

Yes. The platform uses a production database upgrade (2026) for better reliability with large imports. You do not need to re-upload old ZIPs—open Saved sessions and continue.

My post is longer than 300 characters. Can I still publish?

Yes, with a paid license. On Parsed posts, choose Long post publish mode: Auto (hosted article + Bluesky link when allowed, else thread), Article + link, Thread split on Bluesky only, or Short post only (you must shorten text).

What is a hosted article?

For long posts, the full text can live on a page at fbzip2blue.com while Bluesky shows a short teaser and link card. The publish log lists the Article: URL after success.
